After a year of writing celebrity and business profiles for Rolling Out as a freelancer, I was hired as the city manager to lead the Chicago bureau of the Atlanta-based weekly urban lifestyle publication.
In addition to writing and editing the local events calendar and local business profiles, I coordinated marketing events, managed a string of writers, and a circulation team to distribute the weekly magazine across the Chicago metropolitan area.
