As the lifestyle program manager for AOL Black Voices, I was responsible for creating and editing successful content for their style, health, spiritual and love & relationship channels.
A video I co-produced during New York Fashion Week, covering the red carpet of Essence magazine’s opening of the Black Style Now exhibit at the Museum of the City of New York.
Highlights:
- Launched the “AIDS: 25 Year & Counting” health blog in 2006. The launch coincided with the 25th anniversary of when the first AIDS cases were reported in the United States.
- Created a popular spiritual series called “Testimony,” where celebrities reflected on their triumphs over challenging circumstances. Mary J. Blige, Reverend Run of Run-DMC and the late author Bebe Moore Campbell were some of the featured Testimonies.
